Coordinate with drivers and logistics teams to optimise routes and schedules.
Monitor vehicle maintenance and compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of transport activities and performance metrics.
Support in managing budgets and controlling operational costs effectively.
Handle transport-related queries and resolve issues promptly.
Ensure compliance with relevant transport regulations and company policies.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of transport processes and systems.Profile
A successful Assistant Transport Manager should have:
Previous experience in a logistics or transport management role within the transport & distribution industry.
Knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in using transport management software and tools.
The ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
A proactive approach to identifying and implementing operational improvements.
