Cedar Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a leading research institute with the Recruitment of a Payroll Specialist, on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The salary on offer is between £51,000-£55,000 per annum. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring a smooth, efficient, and resilient monthly payroll process whilst supporting the organisation with the implementation of a new Oracle Payroll system. Key Responsibilities: Take ownership of the monthly payroll timetable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines. Act as a subject matter expert on payroll matters, including statutory payments, allowances, and benefits. Partner closely with HR and Finance colleagues to resolve queries and ensure data accuracy across payroll systems. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll tax legislation and compliance requirements. Contribute to the review and development of payroll policies and support annual pay review modelling. Support the implementation of a new Oracle Cloud ERP system, including participation in workshops and testing. Ensure records are accurately maintained in line with GDPR. Essential Requirements: Strong experience working within HR and payroll functions, ideally in complex organisations. Proven ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven payroll processes. Knowledge of integrated Payroll systems Sound understanding of UK employment law, payroll legislation, and compliance requirements. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
