Job Description About the Role: Ready to start your Joules Journey? Step into the role of Junior Photographer here at Joules Head Office within our friendly and creative Studio and Production Team! Your Role: You will be part of a creative and supportive team of in-house photographers working as one team to deliver high quality imagery for Joules in line with our creative direction. This is an extremely fast-paced role that covers all our in-house photography teams to maintain Joule’s photographic vision and creative beliefs. To deliver both Model & Still Life photography to the highest quality for the Joules customer aligned to our brand principles & creative direction. Supporting smooth studio operations by organizing and maintaining equipment, sets and props You will take direction from your Photographer in line with your Creative Lead. You will be able to identify with the ever-changing requirements of a large studio team. Communicate effectively within the studio to evolve the aesthetics of the imagery creatively. Maintain a consistent high level of photography that is complementary to the creative direction of the studio. Consistent research and understanding of new trends, street style, models, celebrities, social movements, Pinterest, Instagram etc to stay inspired, in order to bring the correct approach to every shoot. Maintain constant awareness of competitors, be ahead of the curve. To work collaboratively with other Photographers within the Studio as well as other peers and Seniors. Consistently strive to think outside the box with all processes and projects showing initiative and innovation. Communicate effectively with your Seniors to establish clear, recognisable and achievable goals. Adhere to style guides & briefs set by product teams or studio management. Flexibility to work at other Joules studios, external studios and on location when required. About You: From a technical and operational perspective, it would also be advantageous if you: You will be a focused, driven, hard-working individual that has the maturity and empathy to take direction well. You must be able to remain calm and professional whilst maintaining a positive and proactive attitude. A knowledge of photography, retouching and lighting techniques is essential. Competence of using Photoshop & Capture One. General skills in video preferred. Confidence in demonstrating photographic techniques and sharing with others. High competence using MAC Operating systems. Thorough understanding of current trends and lighting techniques. Forward thinking, innovative & proactive in approach of all projects. Superior planning, workload management and organisational capabilities. Creative flair and knowledge, producing innovative ideas and solutions. A strong communicator and listener. It is essential to be commercially minded and aware of retail fashion and lifestyle trends. Comfortable with a highly pressured and rapidly changing environment. Exemplary attention to detail. Where will you be working? This is a full time, permanent role based at ‘The Barn’ - Joules’ purpose built Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. This role is office based working onsite, as we believe this is where we make the best decisions together.
