The Role: Your Impact
As a Deputy Manager, you will be the cornerstone of the home, working hand-in-hand with the Registered Manager to deliver outstanding, child-centred care. You will be a leader, an advocate, and a role model, ensuring our service not only meets but exceeds standards.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leadership & Mentorship: Supervising, mentoring, and motivating a dedicated care team, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
* Safeguarding & Advocacy: Championing the welfare, rights, and individual needs of each young person, creating a home free from oppression where differences are celebrated.
* Personalised Care Planning: Taking a lead role in assessing needs, developing tailored development plans, and ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently delivered.
* Collaboration & Communication: Building strong relationships with multi-disciplinary teams, families, and stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to each child's well-being.
* Operational Excellence: Supporting the efficient running of the home in line with legislation, policies, and our Statement of Purpose.
Are You the One?
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* Possession of (or working towards) the Diploma Level 5 in Leadership & Management.
* A Diploma Level 3/4 in Children and Young People.
* Proven experience working with young people with learning disabilities, Autism, and complex needs.
* Expertise in a variety of communication methods, such as PECS, choose boards, and visual aids, for non-verbal children.
* Excellent communication skills and a true team player with the ability to take on professional responsibility.
* A genuine passion for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
