As our operations continue to grow, we are seeking a Deputy Office Manager to support the smooth running of our Glasgow facility during a 12‑month maternity leave cover on a fixed term contract. This role is central to maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for our engineering, manufacturing, and corporate teams. About the Role: We are looking for a proactive and organised Deputy Office Manager to help oversee the day‑to‑day operations of our Glasgow office. You will work closely with vendors, facilities partners, and Spire employees to ensure the site runs smoothly and remains a positive, productive workplace. What You’ll Do: Keep the office running efficiently so employees can focus on their work Serve as a key point of contact for staff questions, requests, and general support Help create and maintain an office environment that is safe, organised, and enjoyable Support all day‑to‑day office operations Manage the front desk, including greeting and registering visitors Track, order, and maintain office supplies, snacks, and beverages Ensure compliance with all office safety standards and procedures Coordinate with building management on security, cleaning, maintenance, HVAC, and emergency preparedness Arrange repairs, maintenance, and small‑scale office improvements or renovations Oversee conference room scheduling and resolve meeting‑space issues Work with IT to support office equipment and hardware needs Manage office furniture inventory and layout Administer various internal office programs and initiatives Coordinate office events, celebrations, and social activities Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes for employees Support adherence to health & safety regulations across relevant Spire locations Provide ad‑hoc support to the People, Finance, and accounting teams as required Preferred Skills & Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships across teams Clear, confident communication style Highly organised with strong problem‑solving abilities Comfortable shifting between tasks and managing competing priorities Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently Spire operates a hybrid work model, and this position will require you to work a minimum of three business days per week in the office.
