Customs Import and Export Administrator – Join our client's dedicated Customs team in their office in Dover, Kent on a full-time permanent basis.
Your role:
As an Import/Export Administrator, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service to their international clients. You’ll manage customs declarations and help ensure the smooth and compliant movement of goods across borders.
Key responsibilities:
* Preparing customs entries for Road & Ocean Imports & Exports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Ensuring timely processing of customs declarations and promptly addressing any client queries.
* Recording and reviewing customs declaration requests, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in systems.
* Tracking duties paid by P&O Ferrymasters, ensuring recovery from clients where necessary.
* Liaising effectively with clients to understand and fulfill their customs declaration needs.
* Sharing critical information with carriers to guarantee seamless delivery and avoid delays.
* Collaborating with the Customs Declarations Manager to achieve team objectives and maintain service excellence.
About you:
This company is looking for an experienced Customs Import and Export Administrator with a solid understanding of customs declaration processes. Experience with systems such as CDS, Destin8, CNS, and IPAFFS is highly valued. You’ll be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach are essential, with the ability to prioritize tasks. Flexibility to work shifts and some bank holidays. Speaking an additional language is a plus!

They offer:
A salary of £25,000 - £28,000 per annum (depending on experience), working full-time, Monday to Friday, with a rotating Saturday shift. Shifts are from 0700hrs to 1500hrs and 0900hrs to 1700hrs.
