Barnardo's, ECHO service, are seeking a Digital Lead to join our friendly and motivated team; this is an exciting time to join this new team. Do you have an interest in creating a lasting impact for children and young people's health and wellbeing, using your digital and creative skills? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
ECHO is commissioned as a partner in the delivery of the Enhanced Public Health Nursing Service. The partnership aims to coordinate and deliver public health interventions to promote, protect and improve children and young people's health and wellbeing. It brings together the Healthy Child Programme, sexual health, and substance misuse services in a single holistic service for children and young people when and where they need it. ECHO's role is to support the iterative review and enhancement of services for children and young people through listening to their voices and lived experiences. In this way, children and young people will inform the co-design of service deliverables, including digital content.
The Digital Lead will ensure service digital content remains responsive to, and influenced by, the voices and lived experiences of children and young people in Tower Hamlets. This is an exciting and new way of working in public health and there is a real opportunity to bring about lasting change and impact.
The post holder will be working on continually developing the website and content, supporting production of creative content such as video (including editing), and providing digital analytics.
To be successful this role requires you to be organised, tenacious and disciplined, a strong communicator, and work effectively as a team. Experience of working with children and young people or other stakeholders towards co-design of digital content is not essential but of benefit.
This role will have line management responsibility but no budget responsibility. It requires a strong understanding of web content writing, technical aspects of managing a website, web accessibility, and working with creative media, including video.
Applications are shortlisted by demonstrated experience, please take the time to showcase your skills, knowledge and experience fully. Pay & Reward Framework
We know that our colleagues go above and beyond in delivering our vital work, driven by their passion and commitment to Barnardo's . We also know that we can only realise our ambitions and achieve better outcomes for more children, thanks to the talent, hard work and creativity of our people.
For all these reasons, we are committed to a new approach to pay and reward, to ensure it is fair, attractive and progressive, which was rolled out in April 2023. This is a positive change for the charity, and a part of our Strategy. It will assist us in supporting colleagues to belong, thrive and grow in their colleague journey at Barnardo's and in time will offer clear routes of progression for colleagues in both their career and their pay.
Whilst the full pay band and salary range is advertised, our approach to starting salaries is to appoint between the minimum to mid-point of the pay band – this ensures that pay steps are available to reward our colleagues annually based on their contribution to excellence and alignment to our values and behaviours. More details on Barnardo's pay framework can be found upon application.
