At The McIndoe Centre, were looking for a Theatre Healthcare Assistant whos passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and thrives as part of a dedicated and high-performing clinical team.

Location: The McIndoe Centre, East Grinstead

Contract Type: Permanent

Work Pattern: 4 days per week, 9.5 hours per day, on call required & weekend work optional

Salary: from £23,809.50 per annum (experience dependent)


Main duties of the job

As a Healthcare Assistant in Theatres, you will work as part of a close-knit, highly skilled clinical team to provide outstanding patient care within the theatre department. Under the supervision of registered Theatre Practitioners, you will play a crucial role in supporting clinical procedures, maintaining hygiene and safety, and ensuring an efficient and seamless service is delivered. Your empathetic nature and professional attitude will help ensure a high standard of care is consistently provided to patients.

As a Healthcare Assistant in Theatres, you will work as part of a close-knit, highly skilled clinical team to provide outstanding patient care within the theatre department. Under the supervision of registered Theatre Practitioners, you will play a crucial role in supporting clinical procedures, maintaining hygiene and safety, and ensuring an efficient and seamless service is delivered. Your empathetic nature and professional attitude will help ensure a high standard of care is consistently provided to patients.

About You:

* Experience in a healthcare setting ideally within an acute or surgical hospital environment.
* NVQ Level 1/2/3 in Health & Social Care (desirable but not essential).
* A smart, presentable appearance and professional attitude.
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
* Proactive, flexible, and adaptable with a passion for learning.
* A commitment to high standards, patient dignity, and teamwork.
* Previous experience in an operating theatre setting.
* Knowledge of theatre hygiene and infection control best practices.
