We’ve already seen incredible growth from our MagicNotes product - that is helping case workers save over 8 hours a week of admin. Our usage has increased drastically over the last few months and we are now processing 1000+ hours of audio from caseworkers a week. This is just the beginning.

The Role:
As a Prompt Engineer, you'll be the bridge between practitioner needs and cutting-edge AI. Reporting to the Prompt Engineering Lead, you'll craft intuitive, high-quality AI templates that streamline workflows, enhance accuracy, and ensure compliance. Your work will directly impact the lives of those providing critical support, transforming their daily operations.

What You'll Do:
* User-Centric Discovery: Conduct in-depth interviews with frontline workers (social workers, healthcare professionals) to understand their workflows, pain points, and desired outcomes.
* Prompt Crafting & Optimization: Design, test, and iterate on AI prompts, focusing on accuracy, tone, and relevance, leveraging user feedback and performance metrics.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, engineers, and customer success teams to deliver exceptional AI solutions.
* Data Privacy & Security Champion: Uphold the highest standards of data privacy and security, ensuring all solutions are ethically sound and compliant.
* Knowledge Sharing & Innovation: Document best practices, share learnings, and stay ahead of the curve in AI and LLM advancements.
* Iterative Development: Implement feedback, and improve existing templates to maximize accuracy and effectiveness.
A Day in the Life of an AI Prompt Engineer:
Needs Assessment:
* Engage with clients to define template requirements.
* Gather detailed workflow and documentation insights.
Template Creation & Testing:
* Develop AI-powered templates using advanced LLMs.
* Conduct rigorous internal testing for accuracy and usability.
User Validation & Refinement:
* Present templates to practitioners for feedback.
* Iterate based on user input for optimal performance.
Continuous Improvement:
* Collaborate with customer support and success to implement improvements.
* Document and share best practices.

All our interviews are currently conducted over Google Meet. It usually takes us a week to get back to you after each round. Due to a high number of applications, we are unfortunately unable to offer feedback before Round 2. Feedback for subsequent rounds is provided if requested.
Application process:
We take hiring seriously. We have a three-stage interview process, giving you plenty of time to learn about Beam while we get to know you. We may run an optional fourth stage if we feel it required.

R2 - 2-hour remote task & 30 min debrief
R3 - 30 min role play with Prompt Eng Lead & Customer Success Manager
R4 - 30 min optional interview with CCO (if required)
