Overview
We are seeking a detailed oriented and proactive part-qualified management accountant (AAT qualified and actively studying ACCA/CIMA/ACA) who can confidently support both day-to-day finance operations and higher-level analytical tasks. The role sits between the Group Head of Finance and the Accounts Executive, covering three companies (two in the UK and one in the US).
This role will suit someone who has excellent attention to detail, enjoys digging into numbers, and is equally comfortable handling operational tasks as they are preparing analysis to support decisions that shape our growth. This is a role where you'll gain exposure to international operations and have the chance to progress into a Finance Manager position as the group expands.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Finance Support
* Oversee transactional work carried out by the Accounts Executive (AP, AR, expenses, bank reconciliations).
* Perform and review month-end close processes: accruals, prepayments, journals, reconciliations.
* Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records across all three companies.
* Handle intercompany reconciliations and maintain good controls in line with auditor recommendations.
Analytical & Reporting
* Prepare monthly management accounts.
* Conduct variance analysis (actual vs budget/forecast), highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.
* Contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles across the group.
* Support the Group Head of Finance with advanced analysis (profitability by customer/product, investment cases, cash flow planning).
* Develop and improve financial reporting tools, dashboards and KPIs.
Process & Systems
* Identify and resolve issues in financial processes, suggesting improvements.
* Support system developments and process automation projects.
Collaboration & Communication
* Bridge the gap between senior finance leadership and the transactional team.
* Work closely with operational teams to gather data and explain results.
* Liaise with external accountants/auditors when required.
Skills Required:
* Qualifications: AAT qualified, studying towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA.
* Strong Excel skills (comfortable with pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, and building management reports)
* Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to ensure accuracy in both day-to-day work and higher-level analysis.
* Adaptability: Able to switch between operational tasks and analytical projects without being fazed.
* Analytical Mindset: Confident in interpreting financial data and presenting findings clearly.
* Communication: Comfortable engaging with colleagues at all levels and across geographies.
* Proactive: Takes initiative, spots issues early and proposes solutions.
* Growth-Oriented: Keen to progress to full qualification and broaden experience in group finance.
