The Head of Product curates a world-class system of products and toolkits, delivers innovative new ranges, and ensures the portfolio remains fresh, commercially strong, and operationally relevant to hospitality operators. The role balances strategic product leadership, supplier partnerships, and cross-functional coordination, acting as the glue between Sales, Marketing, Design, and Supply Chain. Core Responsibilities Product Strategy & Roadmap Maintain a 3–5 year roadmap of toolkits and platforms that support operator adoption and guest experience. Balance breakthrough innovations with system expansions and incremental improvements. Ensure roadmap priorities are validated by operator feedback, market insights, and commercial modelling. Insight & Briefing Capture and structure insights from clients, operators, sales, and competitors into actionable opportunities. Translate validated insights into tight, commercially anchored product briefs for Design. Build business cases (pricing, margin, ROI, operator adoption impact) prior to design investment. New Product Development (NPD) Shape and deliver the Craster Product Development Plan with the Head of Design and SLT. Oversee concept development, feasibility testing, and launch execution. Ensure products meet cost/margin goals, brand standards, and operator usability requirements. Portfolio & Lifecycle Management Build and maintain a coherent product system relevant to luxury hospitality. Monitor SKU performance through dashboards, manage refreshes/retirements, and oversee repricing cycles. Lead annual portfolio reviews to ensure balance across innovation, core systems, and incremental extensions. Cross-Functional Leadership Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to forecast demand and align launches to client needs. Partner with Marketing to produce clear, insight-led value propositions and launch assets. Work with Supply Chain to ensure sourcing supports roadmap goals and resilience. Team Leadership & Supplier Partnerships Lead the product team functions in sourcing and supplier development. Coach and set objectives for team members, ensuring clarity and accountability. Develop strategic supplier partnerships to expand capability, improve performance, and deliver innovation. Operator & Market Leadership Engage directly with chefs, operators, and F&B leaders to validate new concepts. Research hospitality trends and operating models to identify emerging opportunities. Guide product storytelling around use-cases, guest benefit, and operator efficiency rather than seasonal trends. Measures of Success % of launches achieving ROI and operator adoption within 12 months. % of roadmap informed by validated operator insights. On-time, on-budget delivery of new products. Product Development Lead (PDL): day-to-day NPD delivery, prototyping, testing. Commercial Team: gather/test insights, forecast demand, validate client adoption. Operations & Supply Chain: sourcing strategies, supplier performance, stock readiness. Marketing: value propositions, launch campaigns, and product storytelling. You’ll Need Strong commercial acumen with a passion for design-led, system-based products. Proven ability to manage the full product lifecycle from insight to launch. Experience engaging directly with hospitality operators and translating needs into products. Skill in building supplier partnerships and delivering sourcing resilience. Confidence leading cross-functional teams and presenting to senior stakeholders. Global outlook with travel experience across sourcing, networking, and market validation.
