Employment Summary
West College Scotland is seeking an exceptional senior leader to join its Executive Team at a pivotal point in the delivery of its Strategic Plan 2026–2030 and transformation programme, Shaping Our Future Together (SOFT).
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic and operational leadership for learning, skills and the student experience, ensuring high‑quality, inclusive and financially sustainable provision aligned to regional and national skills priorities.
* Shape a future‑focused learning portfolio, drive performance and quality and lead innovative initiatives that deliver strong outcomes and progression for learners.
* Bring credibility at Executive and Board level, a deep understanding of the skills landscape, and foster a collaborative, inclusive leadership style.
* Advance the college’s commitment to unlocking potential and enabling success, making a lasting impact on learners, communities and the regional economy.
Qualifications & Experience
* Senior leadership experience, ideally in further education, education or a related sector.
* A proven track record of leading change, improving performance and managing complex budgets.
* Credibility at Executive and Board level with a strong track record of influencing decision‑making.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, inclusively and with a values‑led approach.
