Salary: £50,000–£60,000

The Role:
We are working with a forward-thinking food manufacturing business that is looking to appoint a Technical Services Manager to lead its customer-facing technical and compliance activity. This is a key position within the technical team, responsible for maintaining high standards of product information, data accuracy, and customer confidence.
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys owning processes, leading a function, and driving improvements while acting as a trusted technical point of contact for customers.
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Manage the day-to-day operation of the technical services function, ensuring customer technical enquiries are handled efficiently and accurately
* Take responsibility for product specifications, allergen matrices, nutritional data, and labelling information from creation through to approval and maintenance
* Ensure all technical documentation meets current legislation, customer standards, and retailer requirements
* Maintain and develop specification management systems, supporting robust data control and audit preparedness
* Support NPD projects, customer meetings, and third-party or customer audits with technical expertise
* Continuously review and improve technical service processes, sharing knowledge and supporting capability development across the business
About You:
* Degree qualified in Food Science, Food Technology, or a closely related discipline
* A minimum of three years’ experience in technical services, specifications, or compliance within a food manufacturing environment
* Experienced user of specification management systems and technical databases
* Highly organised, detail-focused, and confident communicating technical information to a wide range of stakeholders
