Primary purpose of the role
The primary purpose of this role is to support and carry out all aspects of the visual system engineering activities. The role will require liaison with project management, project system engineering managers, and will include visual systems engineering activities contributing to the delivery of the system on site.
Key responsibilities and tasks
* Integration, test, and validation of visual system image generator hardware, software and databases.
* Integration, test, and validation of the visual system with the simulator/simulation systems (host, display etc.).
* Application of Chorus 2.0 processes and practises to visual system development tasks, as appropriate.
* Adherence to task assignments, allocated budgets and schedule milestones.
* Plan, schedule and report suite of work packages to deliver solution.
* Ensure systems engineering process is followed throughout life-cycle.
* Ensure specified deliverables are met against schedule and timescale and are of an expected level of quality.
* Requirements management.

Skills and experience – essential
* Ability to analyse customer requirements and negotiate requirement/solution trade-offs to achieve a winning compromise between cost, schedule, and compliance.
* Ability to identify solution technical issues and risks in order to plan the mitigation strategy and engineering activities required.
* Able to capture and express the solutions architecture through standard methods.
* An effective team player who can interface at all levels across the organisation. Able to operate successfully in a multi-cultural environment, working effectively with teams distributed across different sites/countries.
* Visual systems engineering in a simulation environment.
* Visual system design and integration.
* Real time image generation.
