Job overview
This part‑time role (30 hours per week) is based in the Meadway & Bucklands community nursing team covering five council wards in Stechford/Hodgehill and some cross‑over into Solihull. The post involves delivering nursing interventions to clients in their own homes and working collaboratively with other team members. The role may be subject to the trust’s flexible working policy for shift arrangements.

* Deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care in the community setting.
* Lead, support and supervise junior staff, exercising sound clinical and leadership judgement.
* Manage changes in clinical practice and processes, ensuring continual improvement of service delivery.
* Provide patient‑centred care and innovative solutions to best meet the needs of diverse populations.
Person specification
Qualifications/Training
* Registered Nurse Level 1 (Adult)
* Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification; prescribing qualification if already achieved.
* Nurse prescriber or willingness to undertake prescribing module within 12 months of employment.
* Mentor and assessor qualification or a comparable equivalent.
* Evidence of continued professional development relevant to the role.
* District Nurse Specialist Practitioner qualification, or willingness to work towards equivalent modules.
Skills & Knowledge
* Sound knowledge and application of up‑to‑date evidence‑based clinical practice.
* Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills with IT literacy.
* Awareness of the complex needs of a multicultural, socially diverse population.
* Leadership and interpersonal qualities.
* Effective time management, prioritisation and organisational skills.
* Knowledge of NHS access targets and financial/performance management.
* Competent user of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Patient Administration Systems.
