Teaching Personnel is recruiting a full-time Teaching Assistant to work in a secondary school in Bridgend. This role is ideal for candidates with experience supporting students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and challenging behaviour.
You will support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them to access learning, regulate behaviour, and develop confidence in a structured secondary school environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and behavioural needs
* Provide 1:1 and small group classroom support
* Manage and support challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
* Assist teachers in delivering differentiated lessons
* Support pupils’ emotional, social, and academic development
* Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
* Follow and contribute to Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
* Support pupils during transitions, break times, and interventions
* Record and report pupil progress and behaviour when required

* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and child protection

Desirable Experience & Qualifications
* Experience supporting ALN / SEN pupils
* Previous work in a secondary school
* Relevant qualifications (Teaching Assistant, Education, Childcare, Psychology, Youth Work, Sport Coaching)
* Knowledge of positive behaviour management strategies
