Hours: 30 hours per week
Schedule: Monday – Friday between 08:30 and 17:00

About The Role

We are a Day Service who provide high quality care and social opportunities to the people that we support within the day centre and the community.
We pride ourselves on having a strong support team who work closely together to ensure that the people we support have the best day, meeting health needs and achieving positive outcomes.

You will value others, take a person-centred approach to support people with dignity and respect.
Ongoing free training is provided, including gaining qualifications such as QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
All staff employed by LCC have 26 days of annual leave per year (pro rata), increasing to 32 days after 5 years, along with many other benefits.

Key Responsibilities
* To support people with disabilities, including individuals with profound and complex needs, using person-centred approaches to enable positive outcomes as defined in their support plan.
* To support people with dignity and respect to meet day-to-day needs, including personal care supports.
* To help individuals access a range of opportunities and experiences (e.g., swimming, walking, bowling, dancing, shopping, art groups, cooking activities, making new friendships).
* To work in accordance with relevant national legislation and service policies and practice guidelines at all times.
Skills and Experience
* Experience of working with adults who have a learning disability is desirable but not essential; training and support will be provided.
* Applicants who do not hold NVQ Level 3 will be required to complete the QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (training funded by the Service).
