Challenging Behaviour Specialist Cover Supervisor
Location: Cardiff
Start Date: September 2026
Pay Rate: £120 - £140 per day (depending on experience)
The Role
* Supervising whole classes in the absence of the classroom teacher
* Managing and supporting pupils with challenging behaviour, including SEMH needs
* Implementing effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
* Maintaining a calm, safe, and productive learning environment
* Working closely with senior leaders and pastoral teams
The Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience working with challenging behaviour in a secondary school or similar setting
* Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management skills
* Experience supporting pupils with SEMH / additional needs
* Resilient, calm, and consistent approach
* Able to build positive relationships with students and staff
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
