Trainee Teaching Assistant
Location: Taunton and surrounding areas
Pay: £93 – £100 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: September 2026

Connex Education are currently recruiting motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Taunton and nearby areas from September 2026. Opportunities are available on a flexible day-to-day supply basis, alongside short-term and long-term placements.

As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery
Work with children individually and in small groups
Help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment
Encourage pupils’ academic, social and emotional development

We Are Looking For Candidates Who:

Have strong communication and interpersonal skills

Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Have experience working with children (desirable but not essential)
Hold a DBS on the update service or are willing to apply for one
