Drummond & Etheridge is a leading supplier of John Deere equipment throughout the South Island. Through our extensive network of 11 branches, we supply a range of quality brands to the agricultural, construction, forestry, commercial, lifestyle and adventure/recreation sectors. Built on a reputation of talking straight with customers and providing quality service long after the initial sale, we’re passionate about our people, our customers, and our industry.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and switched‑on Administrator to support our wider sales team across the company. Based in our Rolleston branch, this is a rare opportunity to gain exposure to a range of sales activities and functions, all while supporting our customers to access the right gear for the job, right across the South Island.
About the Role
* Providing administrative support right across the sales function, including deal documentation, creating and maintaining quotes and records, assisting with appraisals, and managing finance applications.
* Undertaking reconciliation of sales documentation and costs associated with deals.
* Monitoring and tracking our inventory via our website to ensure this is always up to date.
* Working across a range of our systems used to quote, process and track orders.
About You
* Proven administrative skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
* Strong verbal and written communication, keeping our internal sales team up to date and engaging with external customers in a fast‑paced role.
* Experience utilising a range of electronic systems to efficiently manage your day‑to‑day tasks.
* Exposure to the agriculture, construction or forestry industries would be an advantage, but isn’t essential.
* A proactive approach, with the ability to see the bigger picture yet also connect the dots and manage the detail.
* A mindset that embraces collaboration, knowledge sharing and a willingness to get stuck in and help out where needed.
* To really shine in this role, you’ll be process‑driven with a keen eye for detail, but with the flexibility to pivot to tackle urgent or unexpected tasks when they arise. Full training will be given and the right attitude is key, so if you feel you only meet some of the above but are keen to learn, we’d welcome your application!
This is a permanent, full‑time role working 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday. You’ll be based in our Rolleston office alongside our Sales Support Team Leader.
