Their aim is to work together to challenge stigma and oppression, by creating a respectful environment.Your new roleThe successful candidate will provide support to service users in a safe environment. They will work closely with people suffering from drug and alcohol addiction, providing clients with support from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey. They will do so by providing screenings, assessments, psychosocial interventions, recovery planning and onward referrals. Other responsibilities will include 1-1 key work, POD and group work and clinical interventions.What you'll need to succeed
1. 6 MONTHS EXPERIENCE AS A RECOVERY WORKER: ESSENTIAL
2. Excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working in a related field.
3. Experience working within similar environments.
4. Excellentmunication skills
5. Teamwork skills
6. Ability to navigate a challenging situation
7. Post subject to enhanced DBS check
What you'll get in returnMonday to Friday, 9 to 5 hours.
