An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Care Support Worker to work within the Dietetic Service. This post will work within the Community Dietetic Service supporting the Dietitians who work in Inverness and surrounding area.
This post provides a service to adults attending outpatient clinics, living in their own homes or care homes and inpatients in Community Hospitals. Workload is varied and would include supporting Dietitians to assess, modify and adapt nutritional care plans for people who require support e.g.; malnutrition; swallowing problems; dementia etc.
The Community Dietetic Department trains student Dietitians and this post holder would be expected to participate in student placements.
We are committed to supporting staff growth and development and there are plenty of opportunities for clinical supervision and CPD. We actively participate in annual appraisals, peer support and training opportunities to further develop clinical skills.
We would welcome applications from experienced Health Care Support Workers (or similar) with experience working with patients and carers who are committed to working as part of a dedicated team to deliver safe quality care. You will need good communication skills, patience and empathy.
You will work alongside the Admin team to assist in the smooth and efficient running of the department and complete tasks such as diary management, nutritional analysis, booking patient appointments, ordering supplies and developing patient/training materials.
Full driving licence is essential.
