Early Years Practitioner (Level 3) – KES Childcare
£12.80 per hour full time (minimum 4 days per week) All‑year‑round role
Based on a vibrant school campus, 10 minutes from Hereford
KES Childcare are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and child‑centred Early Years Practitioner to join our expanding team. We are seeking someone with a genuine passion for early childhood education, a commitment to improving outcomes for all children, and the motivation to contribute to our outstanding standards.
Our setting is based on a thriving school campus in a growing village just outside Hereford. We are proud of our strong community feel, high expectations, and our commitment to providing exceptional early years experiences.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
As part of our team, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality early years provision in line with the EYFS framework. This is a hands‑on role, working directly with children throughout the day — from storytelling and messy play to outdoor adventures, singing, and supporting key developmental milestones.
You will help to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children feel secure, valued and inspired to learn.
Key Responsibilities
* Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent recognised qualification)
* Have experience working within an early years setting
* Demonstrate a secure knowledge of the EYFS and the ability to put it into practice
* Act as a key person, building strong, trusting relationships with children and families
* Show a genuine passion for working with young children and a natural empathy towards them
* Be dependable, resilient and committed to high levels of attendance and professionalism
* Maintain a positive, flexible and proactive attitude in a busy environment
* Work effectively as part of a caring, energetic and supportive team
* Communicate confidently and professionally with children, colleagues and families
* Demonstrate a clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within an early years setting
* Show confidence in supporting children with additional needs
Hours
* Minimum 4-5 days per week
* All‑year‑round position
* We are open from 7.00am-5.30pm - Core hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm
Applicant Requirements
* A full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification (or above)
* At least 1 year's experience in an early years setting
* Strong knowledge of the EYFS and a commitment to reflective practice
* A positive, proactive attitude and a desire to develop professionally
* Completion of a job application form (provided upon request)
