Location: Lambeth (near Tulse Hill / West Norwood)
Start Date: 5th May 2026
Contract: Full-time | Summer Term (with potential extension)
Pay: £95-£110 per day
Setting: Mainstream Primary (SEN Support)
The Role & School
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Tulse Hill area of Lambeth is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from 5th May 2026.
This role will involve supporting pupils with additional needs across KS1 and KS2, with a particular focus on children with autism, ADHD and speech & language needs. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide both one-to-one support and small group interventions.
The school has a strong reputation for its inclusive practice and nurturing approach. There are clear routines, a calm learning environment, and a well-established SEN team who provide guidance and support to all staff.
Key Responsibilities
Providing one-to-one support for pupils with SEN
Supporting small group interventions in literacy and numeracy
Assisting pupils with communication, focus and engagement
Following EHCP targets and adapting support strategies
Working closely with teachers and the SEN team
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who:
Has experience supporting pupils with SEN
Is patient, calm and adaptable
Can build strong relationships with pupils
Is proactive and able to use initiative
Works well as part of a teamExperience with autism or speech and language needs is highly desirable.
