Job Purpose and Impact
We Currently have an exciting role for a Support Technician to join our production operations in Brocklebank. This role plays an important part in keeping both the Crush and Refinery areas running safely, efficiently and in line with our operational position suits someone who enjoys hands-on work within an industrial environment, is comfortable supporting different parts of the operation and has a flexible mindset when it comes to covering shifts, absences and training needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To ensure daily running and management of Brocklebank Operation (Crush and Refinery) functions.
2. Provide long term absence cover for Process areas.
3. Provide cover for training to enable operators to be released
4. To ensure that plant cleanliness and compliance with audit requirements are adhered to.
5. To ensure the effective movement and handling of materials, products and chemicals across the
6. Brocklebank operation.
7. To support the manufacturing operations to achieve best in class operating performance from every perspective.
8. To ensure safe working practices are adhered to by Cargill personnel and contactors.
9. To undertake problem solving and decision making within a self-managed, Continuous Improvement environment.
Key Accountabilities
10. Assisting Manufaturing coordinator in day to day operational and continuous improvement activities.
11. Support Operations for cover during plant shut downs, and start ups, and long term absence cover. Availability for moving into shift role.
12. Maintain housekeeping of the plant including awareness of the Environmental Permit for the site and the operating conditions and limits within it; using SAP system to report and track any maintenance issues or safety issues found during the shift; complying with audit and safety requirements.
13. Plus any other duties as required by plant operations including but not limiting to First aider, shutdown support, audit preparedness, relieving operators for design review /training etc…
14. A key requirement of this role is for the incumbent to be flexible to meet business needs able and willing to work flexible shift patterns to provide cover where required for long term sickness and training.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
15. NVQ II in mechanical, chemical or process engineering and/or
16. Experience of working within an industrial process environment and/or
17. 5 GCSE’s grade A-C (including English and Maths)
18. Basic computer skills
19. Effective Communication skills – verbal and written
20. Planning and organisational capability
21. Analytical mind
22. Flexible approach
23. Good housekeeping abilities
24. Able to clean and organize industrial areas
25. Ability to learn quickly
26. Experience within an industrial environment
27. Experience of working flexible shift patterns

28. FLT licence

33. Experience of working in a self managed team environment
34. Knowledge of HACCP/Environmental Permits
