This is a dedicated and inclusive school committed to providing high-quality education and support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We are seeking a passionate and skilled SEN Teacher to join their team, working to create a nurturing and effective learning environment tailored to the individual needs of their students. This role begins September 2025.
Duties as a SEN Teacher:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the needs of students with SEN.
* Work closely with the SENCO and support staff to implement personalised learning plans (EHCPs and IEPs).
* Use a range of teaching strategies to support students with a variety of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student confidence and independence.
* Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching methods to support their development.
* Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals to provide a holistic approach to student support.
* Support behaviour management using positive reinforcement and restorative practices.
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure a strong home-school partnership.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to annual reviews of EHCPs.
Ideal SEN Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
* Experience teaching students with SEN, either in a mainstream or specialist setting.
* Strong understanding of SEN strategies, interventions, and best practices.
* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills as a SEN Teacher.
* Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to student welfare.
