Overview

Join to apply for the Bogie Repair Operative role at Linde Material Handling.

We are currently looking for a Bogie Repair Operative to join our small team at the BMW Mini plant in Oxford (OX4 postcode).

The main purpose of this role is to provide an accurate and efficient Bogie / MFE, Container, Pallet repair and service facility to the BMW Mini Plant. You will need to ensure Bogie, MFE’s, Pallets and Containers are serviced, repaired and returned to the BMW operation with minimal disruption and errors to the production line within time constraints.


Responsibilities

* Using counterbalance and Reach trucks to manoeuvre Bogie, Pallets, MFE’s, Containers and Pallets in and around the Bogie Repair workshop which includes the external Pallet Park.
* Undertake service and maintenance of Bogie, MFE’s, Containers & Pallets, achieving minimal errors in line with KPI targets set when completing servicing and/or repairs.
* Achieve the minimum productivity level set by your line manager.
* Ensure paperwork is completed daily together with your Point of Work Risk Assessment.
* Ensure all new stock is unloaded within agreed turnaround time and checked against appropriate quality standards.
* Ensure when manual handling products that all guidelines are followed and adhered to.
* Ensure that any machinery being used is within your skill level, and any defects are recorded and escalated.
* Ensure that all stock levels are maintained to an acceptable level and inform manager if stock levels are running low.
* Any specialist parts/materials required must be brought to the attention of your manager.
* Ensure we despatch stock in a good clean condition.


Qualifications / Skills

* A basic level of engineering knowledge and ability.
* Forklift licence is desirable but not essential; training can be provided.
* A willingness to learn.
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
* Methodical working practice and keen attention to detail.
* Ability to work to strict deadlines.
* Flexibility to move between departments and learn new tasks to support the operation.
* Work as a team member with all other departments and managers.
