The role of this Personal Care Assistant

Our personal care assistants join our client’s support team, providing reliable, essential care and support in their home. You will be employed by HomeCareDirect on behalf of the client and your focus will be to support them only. We have 2 posts for 16hrs each, providing 2:1 support for our client. He occasionally uses Makaton to communicate, so familiarity with this would be advantageous. At times, our client may display signs of frustration or anger. Experience managing challenging behaviours is desirable. It is however, essential that you have prior experience in a care role, with a background in supporting individuals with autism and learning disabilities (LD).
