Job Description:
Are you the candidate we are looking for? At Shaftesbury North Down and Ards, we are recruiting for Night Enabling Support Workers. We have capacity for a full time and a part time role.
Please note that a part time role would not qualify for visa sponsorship, as the salary requirements set by the Home Office are not satisfied.
We are looking for people with the passion, talent, skills and experience that all add up to a caring and community-minded workforce.
We believe that the people we support have the right to a full and flourishing life. They deserve the very best in delivery. Driven by our core values, Shaftesbury strives to be Open, Enabling, Inclusive and Courageous in all that we do.
Our disability services across adult care, children’s care and education are all focused on inclusion and support. Committed to professional, flexible and personalised care, we are passionate about going the extra mile in providing opportunities for people to thrive and live well.
About the role
As a Night Enabling Support Worker, your role will be to provide support and encouragement, by taking direction from both the person supported and the person-centred support plan.
You will be required to maintain accurate records while at work in line with the service requirements. You may also be required to administer personal care and medication.
North Down Ards is an Independent Living service that provides flexible, client-driven care, health, and inclusion support for people with a wide range of needs and living situations.
Whether support is needed for an hour or two, or up to 24 hours a day, we help people to get the most out of life and their local community. This service supports all ages from late teens to elderly people, including homecare, community activities, and day services.
Benefits of working at Shaftesbury
We value our staff highly and offer benefits such as:
* A £500 bonus after 12 months (terms apply)
* Birthday leave opportunity
* Recognition vouchers based on service quality
* Comprehensive training
* Generous annual leave (25 days + 8 bank holidays, increasing after 5 years)
* Pension scheme
* Employee assistance program
Shaftesbury is dedicated to enabling individuals to live fulfilling lives through various services and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups. All employment is subject to checks including an enhanced DBS/Access NI check. We promote equal opportunities and welcome applications from all backgrounds.
