Overview
Fleet Education Services is seeking GCSE Tutors to support learners within and around Birmingham through 1:1 tuition. We recruit experienced tutors to deliver one-to-one and small group tuition, aiming to provide an outstanding level of educational support for young learners across the UK.
We welcome both qualified teachers and experienced tutors who are eager to work with learners who benefit from holistic 1:1 tutoring. We are consistently hiring for ongoing tuition placements in the area to meet current demand.
Responsibilities
* You will design personalised lessons that engage, inspire, and help learners progress academically.
* Deliver tuition sessions directly with learners in their own homes, schools, or local settings such as a library – in-person tuition only.
* Regularly monitor learner progress through reports, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
* Collaborate with parents, guardians, and schools to ensure learner engagement in education.
* Maintain accurate session records through the company’s virtual learning platform.
Qualifications
* A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
* QTS preferred, but not essential.
* Minimum of 6 months teaching or tutoring experience in the UK.
* Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
* 2 references related to work in education – covering the last 2 years of employment.
* Enhanced DBS check (Can be obtained through Fleet if required at a cost).
* A commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners with SEN, SEMH, and other complex needs.

Please Note
* When registering as a Tutor you will be listed as an Agency Worker to provide support for short/long term tuition engagements as they arise. Set hours are not guaranteed.
* You will work through a contract for service and be paid via PAYE.
* Any placements undertaken will be covered by our insurance.
* Shortlisted candidates will complete our safer recruitment process, designed with KCSIE (Keeping Children Safe in Education).
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position.
