Take charge of day-to-day operations and maintenance across the London Embassy Annex from managing contractors and preventive maintenance programs to practical repairs and infrastructure inspections. Youll be the go-to expert keeping our buildings, systems, and grounds in top shape. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Applicants must address each required qualification listed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item. EDUCATION: Completion of Secondary School is required and/or completion of vocational training from an accredited institute recognised as producing journeyman level technicians with a concentration in either HVAC, electrical, plumbing or diesel engine mechanic. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in facilities management, maintenance and operations, including oversight of contractors. Demonstrated performance in the applicant's specific professional vocation. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS & ABILITIES: Applicant shall have a practical understanding of facilities management, which includes HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and other associated skills required for operations and maintenance of a building. LANGUAGE: Good working knowledge of English; speaking, reading & writing ( this may be tested ).
