Ashton Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and highly reputable construction and maintenance contractor based in Warrenpoint.

Pay Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours of work: 40 hours per week
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take the lead on commercial management, cost planning and financial control across a range of capital works projects. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality outcomes, ensure strong commercial performance while managing risk, site abnormalities and stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all commercial aspects of contracts from tender stage through to final account
* Prepare, monitor and control project budgets, forecasts and cashflows
* Lead the preparation and submission of valuations, variations and claims
* Administer contracts and ensure full compliance with contract terms and requirements
* Provide accurate and timely commercial reporting to senior management and clients
* Negotiate with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to secure favourable commercial terms
* Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and performance evaluations
* Support compliance with relevant housing regulations, health & safety standards and sustainability requirements
* Work collaboratively with operational, design and client teams to ensure successful project delivery
Essential Experience
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (RICS accreditation preferred)
* Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within maintenance, refurbishment or new build environments
* Experience working on education sector projects is highly desirable
* Strong working knowledge of NEC forms of contract
* Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
* High level of commercial and financial awareness
* Strong IT skills including cost management software and MS Office
* Ability to lead teams and mentor junior staff
* Valid CSR Card or formal Health & Safety training
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Minimum 5 years' experience within the construction industry
