The Opportunity
Ambition is partnering with a highly regarded mid‑tier accountancy firm in Central London to recruit an Audit Manager into its growing Audit & Assurance team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Audit Manager to join a firm experiencing sustained growth, managing a diverse and high‑quality client portfolio including SMEs, complex groups, and larger corporates. Key Responsibilities
As an Audit Manager, you will:
* Manage a varied portfolio of audit clients across multiple sectors
* Deliver high‑quality audits while maintaining strong, trusted client relationships
* Plan, control, and review audit engagements to ensure efficient and timely delivery
* Lead client meetings, including audit planning and completion discussions
* Prepare, manage, and monitor budgets to ensure commercial outcomes
* Allocate work to seniors and trainees, supporting their development and progression
* Conduct appraisals, sign off training records, and mentor junior team members
* Complete post‑audit reviews and provide structured, constructive feedback
* Identify opportunities for additional advisory or value‑added services
* Support business development through client relationships and internal referrals
* Contribute to ad‑hoc projects, regulatory work, and wider firm initiatives
1. About You
We welcome applications from candidates who have:
* ACA / ICAEW, ICAS, ACCA (or equivalent) qualification
* Proven experience operating at Audit Manager level within UK practice
* Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and ideally IFRS
* Excellent leadership, organisational, and client‑facing skills
* The right to work in the UK (unfortunately, sponsorship cannot be offered)
