Primary Objective
To support the design and development of innovative multi-source power systems through the creation of high-quality CAD models and drawings (using 3D CAD software "Onshape”). The CAD Designer will assist in turning conceptual ideas into manufacturable components and assemblies, contributing to the engineering team’s delivery of efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable power solutions.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following tasks:
· Produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
· Work closely with the engineering and R&D teams to develop design concepts into manufacturable solutions.
· Support the creation and maintenance of design documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), part specifications, and assembly instructions.
· Assist in the preparation of technical drawings for prototype development and production release.
· Conduct tolerance analysis and basic stress/load analysis under guidance.
· Participate in design reviews, providing input and taking feedback to refine designs.
· Liaise with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness of designs.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes and standards.
Relationships
· Internal: Collaborates with Senior Engineers, Project Managers, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality teams.
· External: May interact with suppliers, fabricators, and component vendors under the supervision of senior staff.

Education, Qualification and Certification
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
· A bachelor’s degree (or expected graduation) in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related discipline.
· Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD) through academic or placement projects.
· Familiarity with engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
· Any relevant internship or industrial placement experience is desirable but not essential.
