We’re partnering with a high-growth fintech in London looking to hire a Chief AI Officer / Head of AI to define and lead their AI strategy as they scale.
This is a pivotal leadership hire, owning how AI is embedded across payments, lending, risk, fraud, and customer experience, moving from experimentation to real, revenue-driving impact.
The Role
You’ll sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and commercial strategy, with full ownership of AI across the business.
This isn’t a *research role*, this is about deploying AI into production, improving decisioning, automation, and customer outcomes at scale.

* Real-time fraud detection
* Credit / risk modelling
* Personalisation & pricing
* AI-driven operations & cost reduction
* GenAI across customer journeys and internal tooling
What You’ll Do:
* Define and execute the AI strategy and roadmap aligned to business goals
* Identify high-impact use cases across risk, fraud, underwriting, and growth
* Build and lead a high-performing AI / ML / data function
* Own delivery of production-grade AI systems (not just POCs)
* Partner with the CEO, CTO, and Product to embed AI into core products
* Establish governance across model risk, compliance, and explainability (critical in fintech)
* Drive measurable outcomes: revenue uplift, loss reduction, cost efficiency
What They’re Looking For:
* Background in fintech, banking, payments, or lending
* Proven experience leading AI / ML teams in production environments
* Strong understanding of risk models, fraud systems, or financial data
* Experience with modern AI (GenAI / LLMs) alongside traditional ML
* Ability to operate at both board level and hands-on technical depth
* Commercial mindset—can tie AI directly to P&L impact
* Own AI at a business-critical level
* Shape how a fintech scales and differentiates in a crowded market
* Move beyond hype and actually deliver real-world impact
