Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Tooling Engineer to play a key role in shaping new tooling and manufacturing solutions across the business. The Tooling Engineer will contribute to New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, working closely with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure operational excellence.
The Tooling Engineer will be responsible for supporting tooling design, development, and continuous improvement activities, ensuring all manufacturing processes meet quality, cost, and delivery targets. Working to ISO9001 standards, the Tooling Engineer will help deliver robust engineering solutions within a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment, contributing to both short-term project success and long-term process improvement.
Skills & experience:
• Proven industry experience in toolmaking within a manufacturing environment.
• Degree-qualified in Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong knowledge of ISO9001 quality standards.
• Mechanical comprehension of automotive manufacturing processes.
• Experience of welded assemblies and complex tooling solutions.
• Good understanding of manufacturing methods, components, and supply chain management.
• CAD experience using Fusion 360, Siemens NX, and AutoCAD.
• 8D problem-solving experience.
• Strong planning, organising, and strategic thinking skills.
• High attention to detail with a proactive, collaborative approach.
