Job Description
* Lead, mentor, and develop IT Business Partners to ensure strong alignment between IT and business objectives.
* Define and deliver IT strategies that support business goals and improve operational efficiency.
* Own and manage the IT Capex budget, ensuring effective resource allocation across initiatives.
* Track spend, monitor project financials, and report budget performance to senior leadership.
* Establish and optimise 1st and 2nd line support processes to ensure timely issue resolution.
* Embed best practices for incident, request, and problem management.
* Partner with business leaders to identify technology needs and improvement opportunities across the business.
* Communicate clearly with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide project updates.
* Oversee the planning and delivery of IT projects, ensuring they are on time and within budget.
* Manage risks, resources, and timelines using appropriate project management approaches.
* Monitor service and support performance metrics to assess effectiveness.
* Drive continuous improvement through data‑led insights and process optimisation.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of Business IT should have:
* Proven expertise in IT leadership
* Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
* Demonstrated experience in delivering large programmes of work
* Delivery focussed Project Management capabilities
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to drive change in an efficient and pro‑active manner
* Experience in developing and implementing IT strategies.
* Ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.
* Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
* Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development.
