SEN Teaching Assistant - Dursley

A welcoming, close-knit village primary school in Dursley is looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a pupil. This role is available to start as soon as safeguarding checks are complete.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support a non-verbal child with Autism, helping them feel safe, understood, and engaged throughout the school day. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo, you will implement tailored strategies to support learning, communication, and social development in a calm and nurturing environment.

Key Details:
* SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 support)
* Mainstream village primary school, Dursley
* Start as soon as possible
* Term-time only
* £89-£100 per day (depending on experience)
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience supporting children with Autism and/or non-verbal communication (in school or care settings)
* Be patient, empathetic, and emotionally attuned
* Have a nurturing, calm, and consistent approach
* Be confident using visual supports, routines, and alternative communication strategies (or eager to learn)
* Hold GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or equivalent)
* Have a genuine passion for helping young learners reach their full potential
