We're seeking someone with strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
You should be physically capable of handling sports equipment and willing to work unsocial hours.
A basic understanding of health and safety is essential, and a commitment to safeguarding and inclusivity is key. Flexibility, self-motivation, and a professional approach are vital, along with a readiness to undertake First Aid training and an Enhanced DBS check.
About the Candidate
As a Sports Centre Assistant, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of our school's sports facilities. Working mainly evenings and weekends, you'll support the Sports Centre Manager in maintaining a clean, safe, and friendly environment for the public.
Your responsibilities will include supervising users, handling bookings and enquiries, setting up equipment, and ensuring smooth transitions between activities.
You'll also be expected to contribute to health and safety, report incidents, and assist with cash handling and facility security. Training opportunities, including First Aid, will be provided to support your development.
