Cast UK are supporting a leading FTSE 100 businesses with the recruitment process of a Category Manager to be based at their office in Isleworth.
As a Category Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our procurement processes for site supplies and hygiene products. You will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring the availability of high-quality products at competitive prices. Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement category strategies to drive cost savings, improve product quality, and enhance supplier relationships.
2. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within the category.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and align procurement activities accordingly.
4. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions.
5. Monitor supplier performance and manage vendor relationships to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
6. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes and achieve operational excellence.
7. Stay abreast of industry developments and best practices to inform decision-making and enhance category management strategies.
Requirements:
8. Proven experience in procurement, category management, or supply chain management roles.
9. Strong understanding of site supplies and hygiene products, preferably within a similar industry.
10. Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and value-added benefits.
11. Ability to analyze data, identify insights, and make data-driven decisions.
12. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
13. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
14. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and procurement software.
