We are seeking two experienced project delivery professionals to take on the role of Head of Project Resources in the Programme Delivery team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing a team of up to twelve Programme and Project Managers, focusing on building and managing the necessary delivery capabilities to meet current needs and support future pipelines. You will manage the deployment of the team across a diverse portfolio of highly technical and innovative programmes valued at over £200 million over the next five years. Additionally, you will coordinate Programme Delivery input into new business development and support the planning and costing of annual core grant-funded investments.
WHAT YOU’LL DO (Duties)
1. Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of up to twelve Programme and Project Managers, ensuring effective performance management and fostering a culture of learning, excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
2. Delivery Management: Define, develop, and implement standardized project management methodologies, and contribute to new business development efforts.
3. Operational Leadership: As part of the Programme Delivery Management Team, develop a Project Management Community of Practice.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with other department heads to integrate Project Delivery activities across Digital Catapult.
5. Resource Allocation: Collaborate with the Head of OPMO and other Heads of Project Delivery to ensure effective resource assignment.
6. Performance Management: Monitor individual performance to ensure successful delivery while balancing utilization, development opportunities, and business needs.
7. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to enhance programme and project delivery.

1. Significant project and programme management experience, from small agile projects to large-scale programmes.
2. Strong leadership skills with previous experience managing a team of similar size.
