This is a great opportunity to work closely with teachers to support pupils in their educational journey. Whether you have prior school experience or transferable skills from working with children in other settings, we want to hear from you. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will be: Support classroom learning under the direction of the class teacher. Assist pupils with literacy, numeracy, and topic work in small groups or one-to-one. Prepare classroom materials and support lesson delivery. Promote positive behaviour and ensure pupils are engaged in their learning. Supervise children during breaks, lunchtimes, and transitions between lessons. Encourage social and emotional development through play and structured activities. Provide feedback to teachers about pupil progress and engagement. Primary TA Requirements: Experience working with children, ideally in a school setting as a Primary Teaching Assistant. A degree in Education, Psychology or in a similar field. Qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance are desirable. A patient, enthusiastic, and proactive approach. Good literacy and numeracy skills.
