About the Role
Location: Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy Unit and Gynae Ward, Royal Preston Hospital.
Working Hours
1 x 24‑hour post: 4 x 6 hour shifts per week comprising shifts 8‑2 pm/2‑8 pm Monday–Sunday (or 9‑3 pm if covering the gynae ward shift).
Responsibilities
* Provide a patient‑facing meet‑and‑greet role at the Gynaecology & Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit.
* Answer inbound triage and queries line for patients and partners during potentially distressing times.
* Serve as the first point of contact, maintaining standards, confidentiality and integrity.
* Perform appointment‑related tasks using the QCPR system – activate appointments, update patient demographics and manage clinic scheduling.
* Support the digitisation process of the service and assist clinical teams with triage line duties.
* Complete general administrative duties as required.
* Rotate through the gynae ward clerk role across a seven‑day roster period.
