Job Description:
Pulse has recently partnered with one of the UK’s specialist providers of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are currently looking for an experienced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to support the clinical leadership of the service. This role is based in Birmingham, accessible via public transport.
About the role: As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will deliver assessment and intervention plans for students with diverse communication and learning needs, including developmental trauma, autism, ADHD, PDA, ASD, Anxiety, and complex SEMH needs.

Main responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the college to promote and embed the Total Communication initiative, supporting students in accessing various communication methods.
* Work flexibly and creatively at universal, targeted, and specialist levels.
* Manage your caseload holistically, ensuring coverage of EHCP targets and fostering relationships with staff and students.
* Embed support within community and residential settings and think innovatively about delivery as part of the Student care plan.
* Deliver assessments and interventions, including formal and informal observation and liaison with staff, parents, and carers.
* Provide weekly direct (1:1), small group, and class-based therapy sessions, including outdoor and craft spaces.
* Support Zones of Regulation use across the setting.
* Facilitate meaningful change through hands-on intervention.
* Allocate protected time for reflection and MDT liaison, and upskill staff to embed practices across the curriculum.
Requirements:
* Membership of the Health Professional Council and full certification with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
* BA or BSc in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent.
* Experience with autism, learning difficulties/disabilities, and social-emotional behavior.
* Participation in an interactive induction and financial support for clinical supervision.
