Company Description: Water Utility Company based in Yorkshire region of England.
Location
Western House, Bradford / Hybrid Working (1–2 office days a week).
Work type
Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
What you will do
* Be a key part of a Commercial Operations Team leading the development and delivery of compliant sourcing pipelines.
* Lead the development and delivery of end-to-end sourcing projects that deliver financial benefit, risk mitigation and process efficiency through whole life costing principles.
* Undertake in-depth market analysis and manage market engagement to drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities for innovation.
* Manage key stakeholder relationships across the business to deliver procurement projects.
* Be a Commercial subject matter expert, articulating complex solutions to stakeholders and senior leaders.
* Support and challenge stakeholders to define procurement needs that align with current and future business demand while ensuring the solution addresses wider business needs.
* Lead and deliver procurement to ensure compliance with Utilities Contracts Regulations (UCR2016) and Procurement Act 2023 (PA23) and Internal Governance.
* Develop and implement sourcing strategies for frameworks supporting our Clean and Wastewater Network, and Smart Metering to maximise value and achieve target savings.
What you will need
* Commercial acumen with knowledge and practical application from water, construction or relevant sectors to deliver savings targets and effective contract delivery.
* Proven negotiation ability to negotiate effectively and resolve disputes throughout the contract lifecycle.
* Experience in sourcing development and ongoing management of procurement strategies and governance compliance.
* Stakeholder management skills to lead engagement with different business leads and develop commercial approaches that meet targets.
* Supplier management, including vendor management, performance management and contract segmentation & treatment.
* Understanding of relevant legislation and compliance in the procurement process.
* Comprehensive understanding of Procure to Pay systems (e.g., SAP/ARIBA).
* MCIPS or a Business Degree (preferred).
