Responsibilities
Lead and drive all activities for our Sales Engineering team
Partner closely with sales management to meet the company’s business objectives
Recruit, develop, improve, and maintain the Sales Engineering organization and processes
Plan and manage team resources, ensuring efficient deployment to support a broad range of customer and partner needs
Understand and communicate technical issues and enhancement requests from customers back to technical support, product management and engineering
Perform strategic win/loss analysis to optimize sales execution and drive product improvements
Provide reporting on sales activities, customer initiatives, and product requirements
Work with stakeholders to align Sales Engineering with A10 Networks strategic vision
Apply sales skills along with technical knowledge to effectively close sales
Ensure the Systems Engineering team is enabled to support all required A10 Networks products and solutions, including required sales/soft skills
Provide technical leadership and knowledge to the sales organization
Proactively engage with Sales Leadership to create close alignment and develop technical tools/programs to support sales campaigns and initiatives
Requirements
BS in a computer‑related field or equivalent industry experience outside of management
Minimum five (5) years Sales Engineer Management or technical leadership experience
Demonstrates the characteristics of a technical leader
Ability to present topics in a clear and concise manner to many levels of business leaders and audience sizes
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time for customer meetings, tradeshows, and internal business meetings
Experience with Salesforce
