Who can apply?
You’ll need to be 2 years out from graduation and can be studying any degree discipline. Beyond that, you need to be curious to understand how a global bank adapts in a constantly evolving environment.
We are recruiting on a rolling basis, so we recommend that students apply early. Barclays does not provide sponsorship to attend the 2‑day insight programme. Please note that following the 2‑day insight programme, if you are successful in securing a 2027 Summer Internship, Barclays will apply for a skilled worker visa for you. Any offer made for the 2027 Summer Internship Programme will be conditional upon meeting the Home Office eligibility requirements for a skilled worker visa.
Working in Glasgow
Whilst the Discovery Programme is virtual, if you secure a place on the 2027 internship programme, you’ll be based in Glasgow. Our brand‑new state‑of‑the‑art campus in Glasgow is a place you’ll want to work. It is the home of a team of 5,500 colleagues who thrive in an environment designed for collaboration and the future of work. The campus is inclusive and focuses on neurodiversity through our partnership with Scottish Autism. Outside of work, you’ll find live music in the canteen, a rooftop bar overlooking the Clyde, and even an on‑site beekeeping club.
Purpose of the role
To participate in the day‑to‑day operations of the technology function, working across a range of technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
Accountabilities
* Participation in design and innovation of products using the newest technologies.
* Cross‑functional collaboration with the business to understand needs and convey them to the development team, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
* Development of change and innovative solutions.
