Technology Analyst Discovery Programme 2026 Glasgow

Barclays – Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom

Dates: April 15th & 16th 2026

Open to all students, the Discovery Programme is a virtual opportunity to learn about career paths at Barclays and be considered for our 2027 internship. We want to help you learn about the opportunities we offer and encourage you to picture yourself in the world of financial services.

Why Barclays Discovery Programme?

* Join seminars and workshops, where you’ll learn about financial services, technology as a business area, the recruitment process and Barclays as an employer.
* Participate in specific breakout sessions within Technology, where you'll gain insights of what you can expect from the Summer Internship in 2027.
* Build your understanding of the assessment process and next steps.
* Connect with people from across our business, including current graduates who have already made the journey that you are starting out on.
* Attend dedicated networking sessions with senior leaders and graduates aligned to your chosen business area.

Technology at Barclays

At Barclays, every aspect of our business relies on technology. It helps us keep transactions moving, manage critical data, support and protect 48 million customers and clients worldwide, and enables a future‑thinking culture. By constantly developing and maintaining our digital infrastructure worldwide, we harness the power of technology to support the economy and make a difference to people’s lives. As part of Technology, you’ll join a world where your work delivers tangible outcomes for all kinds of people and organisations every day. We’re shaping the future of financial technology by creating a culture where tech people can make their voices heard and do their best work. You’ll build your career in an environment where we’re advancing machine learning, leveraging blockchains, and harnessing FinTech. You’ll work alongside, and learn from, industry experts.

Who can apply?

You’ll need to be 2 years out from graduation and can be studying any degree discipline. Beyond that, you need to be curious to understand how a global bank adapts in a constantly evolving environment.

We are recruiting on a rolling basis, so we recommend that students apply early. Barclays does not provide sponsorship to attend the 2‑day insight programme. Please note that following the 2‑day insight programme, if you are successful in securing a 2027 Summer Internship, Barclays will apply for a skilled worker visa for you. Any offer made for the 2027 Summer Internship Programme will be conditional upon meeting the Home Office eligibility requirements for a skilled worker visa.

Working in Glasgow

Whilst the Discovery Programme is virtual, if you secure a place on the 2027 internship programme, you’ll be based in Glasgow. Our brand‑new state‑of‑the‑art campus in Glasgow is a place you’ll want to work. It is the home of a team of 5,500 colleagues who thrive in an environment designed for collaboration and the future of work.
