As Business Development Director, you will plan and execute sales activities to ensure new business development and client retention supporting the company's long-term growth. You will develop meaningful client relationships and effectively position and sell the company's full suite of strategic resourcing services. As an industry expert and brand ambassador, you will share our value proposition and drive engagement with prospects and clients, enhancing our reputation and market presence. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, relationship development abilities, self-motivation, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
* Identify and develop meaningful client relationships through meetings, discovery, and diagnosis of business issues.
* Develop new client relationships via prospecting, cold calling, and appointment setting.
* Drive weekly sales activity to meet annual sales and gross profit goals.
* Use a consultative approach to establish business rapport, focusing on delivering quality services and results.
Client Management and Retention
* Partner with the Delivery team to fulfill strategic resourcing and project opportunities.
* Nurture client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.
* Input sales activities into company tools and analyze data for informed decisions.
* Understand client challenges to collaborate on solutions.
* Expand business relationships within clients through referrals and exceeding expectations.
Teamwork
* Act as a positive leader and cultural influence within the team.
* Coordinate with Delivery to align recruiting and sales activities.
* Build relationships and communicate regularly on client needs.
* Contribute to departmental revenue and profitability goals.
* Share knowledge through education, networking, and presentations.
* Represent the team professionally and ethically, adhering to company policies and values.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 8+ years of successful sales experience, preferably in services, clinical research, drug development, or related industries.
* Experience in prospecting, targeting, closing, and account management.
* Ability to meet revenue and gross profit goals in a metrics-driven environment.
* High sense of urgency, confidence, and results orientation.
* Strong research, reasoning, and decision-making skills.
* Ability to organize work independently to meet objectives.
* Commitment to industry excellence through networking and continuous learning.
* Effective communication skills in writing and verbally at all organizational levels.
