Role Overview
This is a unique opportunity for a self-motivated IT professional with strong Microsoft SQL skills and a broad IT knowledge base. You’ll be much more than a helpdesk technician—you’ll be the company’s primary go-to expert for all IT matters, managing everything from routine support tasks to leading system design and integration projects that support growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for all IT needs across the business.
* Manage ITSM tickets and resolve a wide range of IT issues.
* Support and maintain Microsoft SQL databases, including reporting, management, and backups.
* Provide Active Directory administration and manage user accounts.
* Lead the implementation and integration of new systems and technologies.
* Offer technical support for Windows desktops, laptops, and Windows Server environments.
* Troubleshoot basic networking issues, including routers, switches, VPNs, and Wi-Fi.
* Work closely with external IT vendors, service providers, and software suppliers.
* Monitor system performance and security proactively, identifying and resolving risks.
* Manage IT assets, licensing, and access permissions.
* Document IT procedures, generate internal reports, and support ongoing IT improvement projects.
Skills and Experience
* Solid experience as an IT Technician or Systems Engineer.
* Proficient with Microsoft SQL, including backups and reporting.
* Strong working knowledge of Active Directory.
* Comfortable providing 1st to 3rd line support in a small to mid-sized business environment.
* Hands-on experience with Windows Server and end-user devices.
* Networking knowledge (switches, routers, VPN, wireless connectivity).
* Excellent organisational, documentation, and reporting skills.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
* Able to work independently, take ownership, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
