A home care agency is looking for enthusiastic, reliable Health Care Assistants to join a thriving business providing a high-quality and much-needed service to vulnerable people throughout the Bromley area. You will receive a 2-3% monthly “consistency” bonus (sticking to agreed availability/roster), tax-free mileage allowance of £0.40 / mile paid by us, holiday pay, a company pension scheme, private healthcare, and unbeatable pay. Comprehensive and ongoing training and support will be provided during the recruitment process.
As the Health Care Assistant, your duties will include:
1. Personal care and hygiene
2. Food preparation, medication, shopping, housework, and social support
To be a successful Health Care Assistant, you will have the following skills and experience:
1. Full UK driving license, with access to your own vehicle with MOT and insurance
2. Previous care experience is preferable but not essential; experience caring for family members is also valuable
3. Level 2 health and social care qualification
4. Flexibility and availability to work the company's hours
5. 100% commitment to helping improve the quality of life of vulnerable people
6. An enhanced CRB background check – costing £52
7. An up-to-date DBS check, which can be verified by the Care Manager
8. Ability to communicate clearly in English, especially with individuals who may be confused or hard of hearing
9. Legal right to work in the UK
Available working hours for this role include:
1. Weekday mornings – 7am-11am
2. Evenings – 5pm-10pm
Opportunities for night shifts and 24-hour Live-in care are also available based on your availability.
In return, the Health Care Assistant will receive an hourly pay rate of £8.05 – £10.50, depending on experience, which increases after probation and with length of employment.
